Hey Jack!
Hey Jack! is Neve's favourite book because it is interesting because there is lots of details and it is funny. Neve recommends this book for Pohutukawa as it is a good stepping stone for Chapter Books.

I like this book because of the adventure that Jack goes on. Jack goes down to the beach with his parents and pet dog. Jack and his Dad play catch with there pet dog while they have a swim. Jacks Dad decided to get out and told Jack not to go to far but he went to a cave that was near the rock pools and he so busy investigating that the tide had come in and he couldn't get back out so his dog swam back to shore and barked like mad to get his parents attention and Jacks Dad followed the dog into the cave and Jack got on his Dads back and the swam back to sure and were safe and sound.
I recommend these 'Hey Jack' books to years 3,4 and 5.
